How do we get started?
Contact us to schedule a 30 minute initial assessment (no charge if within the Denver metro) to walk-through the areas that need attention. From there, Home Girl will put together an action plan and estimate. Once finalized we work with you on a schedule and get going!
How long does it take?
That depends on the area(s) we are focusing on and the scope of work, but we will give you an estimate before starting any work. Our minimum is 4 hours ($460)
Who will do the work?
Two people are always present on our jobs - a lead organizer and an assistant organizer. On large scopes we will bring in additional assistant organizers as needed. And if the work involves heavy lifting or building something, we will bring in other subcontractors. All of this will be included in the action plan and estimate.
What should I do before you arrive?
Before the assessment - absolutely nothing! We like to see the home in its natural state so we can see how you live and use your space. On our working days we ask that you tidy the space we are working in, whether that’s making a bed or running the dishwasher.
Do I need to provide any materials?
Not at all. We will start with using what is onsite already, but we also bring an array of supplies that we know and love. And if specific items are needed we will discuss that at the assessment. Most estimates will include an allowance for specialty materials.
Will you make me throw things away?
No, the only thing we ask of you is to come into this with an open mind and be ready to honestly analyze the contents of your space. We are not minimalists. We understand that you have your reasons for holding on to some things, reasons you might not even be able to articulate. And we respect that.
Do I need to be there?
At times, yes. You will need to be there and present for the initial assessment. On our working days you do not need to be onsite but we will schedule 1-2 check-ins during the day to get questions answered, either by phone, pictures, or video call. The reason we do an in-person assessment and an agreed upon action plan is so we are able to work alone but with your vision and intention. You are, of course, also welcome to be there at all times.
